Is your child or adolescent struggling in school? Acting out? Depressed? Anxious? Not living up to his or her potential?
As a parent, foster provider, grandparent, or other care provider, are you at your wit’s end?
Like many of us (the therapists at Omaha Psychotherapy included), you may have wished that a child in your life came with an instruction booklet. Many parents, worry about our kids from time to time. You aren’t alone.
We can help!
At Omaha Psychotherapy, our philosophy is that bad experiences are only a small part of who you are and that these experiences do not have to define you as a person. And that these bad experiences also don’t define families.
We are experienced in working with families in many capacities. Our specialty is in working with adolescents who are acting out. Kids who seem to be engaging in problematic or challenging behaviors or on probation.
We work with the entire family to identify the root of the problem so that things can get better and stay better. Therapy is individualized for each client and family because each person and family is different.
While we love working one on one with kids, we also love seeing parents. When you have a child who is being difficult, or is misunderstood, it’s easy to feel like people judge you as a bad parent. You aren’t. Our therapists provide a safe place for parents to vent, to cry, to get support, and to know that it’s going to be okay.
We have a direct approach and our clients are involved in every step of the therapy process. We empower our clients to take an active role in the therapy process.
