    At Omaha Psychotherapy, we truly believe that individual therapy can be helpful for just about anyone. Individual therapy is based on a trusting and confidential relationship between the client and the therapist built on a foundation of mutual respect.

    It’s not uncommon for people to be terrified of starting therapy. It sounds scary and hard. And it can be. There will likely be tears and painful sessions.

    But most people are surprised to learn that it’s not as bad as they expected. In fact, most people come to love it. It’s validating. It’s enlightening. t’s empowering. It’s worth it. At Omaha Psychotherapy, we believe that engaging in therapy is the most important work anyone can do.

    Clients typically meet for individual therapy once a week for about an hour. We don’t have a cookie-cutter approach and the schedule might vary by person, but we usually like to designate one fixed time slot each week for each client so that you know you will have a consistent appointment scheduled that’s just your time.
